Costume Distribution Information and Policies

Costume Distribution: Week of May 19th

Costumes for the upcoming performance will be handed out during class the week of May 19th.

Tuition Reminder

As outlined in our Studio Policy Contract, costumes will only be released once May and June tuition is paid in full. Please ensure your account is current to avoid delays in receiving your dancer’s costume.

What’s in Your Costume Bag:

  • Photographer’s Envelope for Picture Day
Please fill this out before arriving for pictures. The lobby gets very busy—having it ready helps the process move quickly.

  • Hairpiece (if applicable)
Included in your bag if required for your costume’s look.

Costume Fit & Final Check

Please try on your dancer’s costume at home before Picture Day to:

  • Confirm the costume fits properly

  • Inspect the shoulder straps – some may need to be pinned or sewn tighter for a secure fit

  • Steam your tutus!

If you need help adjusting straps, Ms. Angel is available to assist for a $15 fee.
Please contact the studio directly to arrange this service—don’t wait until the last minute!

Undergarment Guidelines

  • If your dancer needs additional coverage or support, please use nude-colored undergarments with clear or plastic straps only

  • No sports bras, as they will show under most costume styles

  • Younger dancers: Costumes are designed to be worn without underwear. If underwear is necessary, make sure no panty lines are visible—select a seamless or tuckable option that is in nude

  • Need help finding options? Check Amazon for nude undergarments in all sizes, or visit Footsteps Dancewear for dance-specific solutions

All costumes have been inspected and are in excellent condition. They are designed to fit snugly, like a bathing suit, and will not allow for growth. Some may be tricky to put on due to style or design—this is normal for performance wear.

Thanks for your attention to these details! We’re excited for a fantastic performance season.
