► Information on Show Day

Hey there! Just a quick heads-up for a smooth and safe recital day:

  • Take a moment to review the show policies and guidelines.

  • Share this info with family and friends attending.

  • Recital Day is all about celebrating our dancers—let’s keep it drama-free and full of support!

  • Thanks for helping make the day amazing for everyone!


Arrival Times

Show A:

  • Student arrival begins at 12:30 PM

  • Drop children off in their designated classroom by 12:45 PM

  • Students must arrive in full costume, with hair and makeup done

  • Bring all required dance shoes

  • Auditorium doors open at 12:30 PM for audience members

  • Parents, please proceed directly to the lobby after drop-off

Show B:

  • Student arrival begins at 3:00 PM

  • Drop children off in their designated classroom by 3:15 PM

  • Same policies as above: come fully dressed and ready to dance!

  • Auditorium doors open at 3:00 PM


► What to Bring Backstage

(Note: PDC is not responsible for lost or stolen items)

  • Electronic device or book to pass time

  • Coloring books and crayons for younger dancers

  • Water bottle

  • A live video feed will be available in the dressing rooms—kids love watching the performance!

►What NOT to Bring

  • Colored drinks

  • Snacks or sticky/messy candy


►Parents & Guests

  • Bring your printed or mobile ticket—your seat is assigned on it

  • No outside food or drink permitted in the auditorium

  • No visits backstage during the performance

    • If there is an emergency, your name will be announced

  • Please do not pick up your child until the show has fully ended

    • The show lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes with no intermission

  • These rules ensure all children’s safety and respect for family dynamics


► Departure Instructions

  • Designate one adult to pick up your child from their classroom

  • Meet outside afterward for photos and congratulations

  • Older children can meet parents at a pre-determined location; classroom pickup not required

  • Exit doors facing the parking lot (front of building) will be open and are the best pick-up option


► Show Flowers

  • PDC no longer sells bouquets at the recital

  • However, it’s a lovely tradition for families to gift dancers flowers after the show


► Photography Reminder

  • No photography or videography during the show

    • Phone lights and distractions affect dancers and guests

  • Dress rehearsal is the best time for personal photos and videos

  • A professional will capture the full performance, and digital downloads will be available for purchase
