Undergarment Guidelines
-
If your dancer needs additional coverage or support, please use nude-colored undergarments with clear or plastic straps only
-
No sports bras, as they will show under most costume styles
-
Younger dancers: Costumes are designed to be worn without underwear. If underwear is necessary, make sure no panty lines are visible—select a seamless or tuckable option that is in nude

All costumes have been inspected and are in excellent condition. They are designed to fit snugly, like a bathing suit, and will not allow for growth. Some may be tricky to put on due to style or design—this is normal for performance wear.
Costume & Fit Adjustments
– Please check your dancer’s costume straps, especially in the back. They may need to be taken in for a secure fit.
– If sewing straps, ensure the costume can still be easily put on and taken off.
– For True Colors costumes, check the neckline—it may need to be adjusted. This is a design issue, not a sizing issue.
– Miss Angel is available for strap and costume alterations. Strap adjustments are $15. Please inquire by May 31 if you’d like to schedule alterations.

Mandatory Hair Guidelines
Low Bun Styles:
The following classes should wear their hair in a low bun:
– Black Magic Potion, Wild Blue Yonder, Heart to Heart, Forest Green, Unmellow Yellow, Crayola Tappers, Purple Mountains Majesty, Fire in the Sky, Cadet Blue, What a Colorful World, Eerie Black
– Dancer’s choice of parting: side part, middle part, or no part.
– Lena and Kennedy: Please continue to wear a high bun (see below).
High Bun Styles:
– All other dancers should wear their hair in a high bun, slicked back with no bangs.
– For Solar Flare, Turn Your Colors Up, Purple Heart, and Cotton Candy Pink: the bow should be placed at the front center of the bun.
– If a scrunchie is provided (Tigers Eye Orange, Shooting Star, Jazzberry Jam, Pacific Blue), it should be wrapped around the bun.
– For Hot Magenta, the headpiece should be placed on the dancer’s right-hand side of the head, near the bun.
For Jazzberry Jam place bun lower, so the dancer can do a comfortable somersault. Leave the bun placement there, even for other dance numbers.
